'Local Solutions to Local Issues from Local People'
Hart Neighbourhood Centre reached its first Birthday in September and we celebrated
by having a community exhibition at Bartley House, Hook. Thank you to all of
those who attended and all of the local businesses who donated raffle prizes
and refreshments. We are a charity and the support we have had has been fantastic.
The aim of our centre is to build safer and stronger communities through:
Promoting social inclusion and opportunities for all
Working with individuals, families and young people
Working in partnership to improve access to services and
information locally
We run many advice surgeries, support groups and community projects. We have
held Home and Community Safety Information days, introductory computer courses,
been involved with the first No Cold Calling Zone in the area and the youth 'Get
With' programmes. Please visit our new website to find out exactly what we are
up to:

This year we want to run more computer courses, support groups and open an
internet café. We also want to work with our partners on youth diversion
and support projects and promote our employee volunteering programme.
I want to thank all of our volunteers, Diane, Emma, Betty, Paula, Ralph, Chris,
Lyn, Doug, Martin and Mary for all of their valuable help, without them we couldn't
exist!
Also, thank you to all of you who have been through our doors with suggestions
or to access our services. We hope to meet many more of you in the future!
