Motivational Clubs
After School Motivational provision: Supporting young people with additional needs
Motivational Clubs work with referred young people aged 13 -19 who are:
- At risk of under-achieving academically, are not in education, employment or training (NEET), have been suspended or risk being excluded
- Having housing needs
- Have health and/or emotional issues
- In need of healthy lifestyle education
- Involved with multiple agencies such YOT and Police
- Are in need of diversion from anti-social behaviour and/or criminal activity
- Not meeting the Every Child Matters Aims.
- Young people from the Traveller Community
- Teen parents.
- Looked after children
- Disengaged with education
- Involved in risk taking or disruptive behaviour
- Abusing or at risk of abusing drugs and alcohol
- Children and families as part of a CAF (Common Assessed Framework)
- Have additional needs such as behavioural difficulties, ASD, Learning difficulties, social communication difficulties or mental health needs.
Motivational Clubs provide free of charge 3 hour sessions once a week, in an inclusive setting. We provide structured activities, organised and supervised by highly trained staff. These activities are differentiated as needed for young people with additional needs.
