Tutor

Are you a talented Tutor with sound experience working with 13-16 year olds with behavioural issues and/or learning difficulties often removed from mainstream school?

Through practical activities and classroom-based work, the young people are able work towards a variety of qualifications.

Our Charity is looking for the right candidate with a minimum of 3 years+ experience within this age group and sector.

Job Role:

  • To effectively plan and undertake practical and classroom-based activities with Learners, including the design of learning resources and lesson plans.
  • To ensure that all activities undertaken provide evidence towards Learner`s qualifications as appropriate.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring support for children aged 14-18 with learning difficulties and behavioural issues.

You will have effective communication skills, lots of self-motivation, the ability to work within a stressful environment and good leadership and management skills.
Enhanced CRB check will be required and hours can be negotiated.

This is not a role for the faint hearted – candidates will be highly suited!

Location: Fleet, Hampshire
Starting salary: £18,000 pro rata

We always welcome enquiries about volunteering here at HNC.  As an independent charity we offer a wide range of in house training and support to anyone who wishes to donate time and skills to us.
